Jim's Favorites
Movies: Breaking Away, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, and mostly independent current films.
TV Shows: Not a big tv watcher. Some reality tv, Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, and Grey's Anatomy
Music: Of the 6,000-plus songs on my iPod, artists range from Amy Winehouse to Moby to Woody Guthrie and anything and everything in-between.
Sports: I like all games and sports, especially skiing, surfboarding, bike riding. On and off you can find me at the gym. Love to do more surfing and mountain biking. Though not an avid sports spectator, I occasionally follow college football and professional baseball.
Times of the Year: Just after the first snowfall that covers the ground, I love the freshness in the air, the silence that it brings, the calm and peace associated with the stillness, and shadows created by the bare trees from the streetlights. I also like the first day the birds return in the early spring--it is a sign of rebirth.
Food: Like Rosemarie, I enjoy everything. There is no cuisine I don't enjoy or won't try! It doesn't have to be fancy, it just has to be authentic.
Desserts: Never met one I did not like. Dessert is the most important meal of the day. My homemade rice pudding and my sour cream ice cream on warm apple pie might be my favorites, right up there with bread pudding.
Beverage: Diet coke, water, orange juice, and to relax, a full-bodied beer
Colors: Blue, blue, blue...and maybe a little orange
Vacation Spots: Montreal (for the Jazz Festival), the islands of Greece, the Swiss Alps, scuba diving in Belize
Pastimes: Cooking is not so much a pastime but a passion, and I cook to relax. I also enjoy bike riding, not only because I like the freedom of it, but I also do it to raise money for charity. I love traveling because it allows me to appreciate what I have and continue to learn.
